Fugro's Marine Survey Division operates on a global basis providing marine
survey and positioning services. The division employs around 4000 personnel
with offices around the world including the Netherlands, UK, Norway, Canada,
USA, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, India, Egypt, South Africa and
Abu Dhabi.
The Marine Survey Division operates a fleet of more than 20 survey vessels,
a fleet of underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and the STARFIX &
SKYFIX high accuracy Differential GPS positioning services.
Andrew McNeill is Chief Surveyor for the Marine Survey Division of Fugro NV.
He has worldwide responsibilities in Fugro for coordination of training,
survey practice and survey software development.
Andrew is a Topographic Science graduate from Glasgow University. After
graduation in 1983 he joined Brown & Root Survey in Aberdeen, transferring
to Subsea Offshore in 1993 after their acquisition of Brown & Root's Survey
Division. During his time at B&R / Subsea, he held various positions in
offshore survey and later software development & management, and finally
taking up the role of Chief Surveyor.
He joined Fugro-UDI in 1998 as Chief Surveyor and Manager of the Geomatics
Department provide data management & technical development support to
Fugro-UDI's operations. He was appointed Chief Surveyor of Fugro's Marine
Survey Division in 2003.
He is a member of RICS, ICES & The Hydrographic Society and was chairman of
the Hydrographic Society's Scottish Region from 1999 to 2004

Lectures usually last one hour, after which the RICS bar is open. Lectures
