UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE, INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR MUSIC STUDIES
CALL FOR:
Papers, Sessions, Posters, Lecture-Recitals, Compositions
Abstracts of 250 words are invited from postgraduate students as proposals
to give 20-minute papers, poster presentations, or lecture-recitals.
Special sessions of three or four related papers are welcome. Session
organizers should request submissions in advance of the deadline, and submit
them together with an overall abstract.
Scores and electroacoustic compositions may be submitted, and student
composers may give presentations on their own work. Available media will be
listed on each department's website.
We welcome submissions in all areas of music, but especially in areas of
interest to our institutions, including:
cultural theory, popular, folk, world, early and contemporary musics,
19th-century music, analysis, and improvisation.
ALL PROPOSALS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 1, 2005.
