Synopsis
"Change and decay in all around I see..."
This talk surveys some of the latest thinking and tools in SCM (Software
Configuration Management), and in particular looks at how to support agile
methods and how to make SCM itself more agile - best practices and common
patterns for pragmatic SCM.
Speaker Biography
Robert Cowham is the founder of Vaccaperna Systems, providing SCM
consultancy and training to organisations. With 20 years of experience in
software development (12 of which at Logica), he has long had an interest in
SCM, and has worked with clients around the world in this arena during the
last 7 years. He is the author of P4OFC - the Microsoft Office plug-in for
the Perforce configuration management system. He is on the committee of the
CM Specialist Group of the British Computer Society, for whom he has
organised several events, including their 2-day conference in 2003 (and
their upcoming 2005 event).
He writes a regular column on Agile SCM in the CMCrossroads newsletter
