per annum The National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) within the
Bournemouth Media School was awarded a 5 in the last RAE, thus achieving
the highest Computer Animation research grade in the UK . The Visual
Research Group, of the NCCA, is now seeking a Research Fellow to pursue
practice-led research in Computer Animation and/or Computer Art at an
international level. As you will be joining a centre with an international
reputation, you will be expected to have substantial experience in
academic or practice-led research in the field of Computer Animation
and/or Computer Art. Your record of achievement should include
publications in international journals and conferences, and/or
international exhibitions and screenings of artefacts, as well as, a
proven ability to utilise computer animation systems and/or develop
computer programs for the production of computer-generated animations or
artworks. Additionally you would be expected to have a wide knowledge of
contemporary theory and practice in Computer Animation and/or Computer
Art. While pursuing practice-led research in your area of expertise, you
will be expected to work together with other researchers and academic
members of staff of the NCCA and assist with the supervision of research
students / assistants. This post is offered as 3 year fixed term contract
