International Symposium on Digital Art, and Online Gallery IV05-DART
New deadline for submissions: March 21st, 2005
*Note: You only need one submission and permission form if you wish to be
included
in all three or two of the three conferences. Please indicate on
permission form
which conference(s) you wish to be included in.
A number of invited speakers and tutorial sessions will review current
state-of-the-art developments and outline future directions.
This embedded with the current research being undertaken in industry and
in academia
will provide coverage of the salient aspects and sub-areas of
visualisation and
graphics. Such work will be presented in a series of symposia. One of
which is the
'DIGITAL ART' symposium.
Authors are invited to send three copies of their extended abstract or the
full
paper to the chairperson of symposium.
Artists are invited to submit their current digital art-work for
exhibition in IV05 - DIGITAL ART GALLERY.
Papers presenting original research with the theme of 'DIGITAL ART' are being
sought. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

The CONFERENCE encompasses a broad range of fields as they relate to art,
mathematics and/or computer technology, including the exploration of the
following
themes: visualization and computer generated art, pattern and symmetry,
geometry in
quilting and artistic handicrafts, mathematics of knots and other 3-D
objects.
Conference participants will share
information and discuss common interests, allowing new ideas and
partnerships to emerge that can enrich interdisciplinary research and
education. The
AIELLO WORKSHOP will provide an invaluable opportunity for hands-on artistic
learning and experimentation.
CALL FOR PAPERS AND ARTWORKS
The conference will feature presentations by key-note speakers, and shorter
contributed presentations by registered participants.
Presentations will all be selected from the pool of submitted papers and
digital art
works. Artists whose work has been accepted in the Aiello/UMC
'INTERSECTION'
conference exhibit are also strongly encouraged to give a short conference
presentation on their work (provided they register as conference
participants).
