Glad you found this interesting, Jim. There's no complete audio version
yet, although I did record some clips of FX and music for a one-off staged
extract, and some of these were used on the Greatworks version. One BBC
script reader has turned it down but I'm trying it on with a Birmingham
producer, so we'll see... If they turn it down again I might produce and
record it all myself, if I can get the right cast for nothing...
I've just submitted another one to BBC Radio 3 - "Obo Cocteau" developed
from a Lawrence Russell story. It features another poet, rock'n'roll, the
desert, a movie shoot, flamenco, a mysterious woman, lots of explosions and
one of the characters is dumb, which is perhaps a first for radio drama. I
don't think they're going to like this either.
And you can hear mp3s of "Brain Gun" another Green/Russell collaboration on
the audio pages at:
http://www.culturecourt.com
If anyone likes this enough, they can send me a blank CD and something for
postage and I'll burn them a copy
I'm also working on a new solo voice/soundscape piece, which we can produce
in the same way.
