Hi Kate
We also do a similar type of thing when we copy courses from one year to the
next - we add the session into the title. The old course is made
unavailable but I find I have to make the course unavailable to instructors
on an individual basis. We are using BlackBoard version 6 and I was
wondering if yoru database query would work with this version? If it does,
would you be willing to let me have more details about the query?
Many thanks.
Linda

Najib, I never got a solution that did that, not at snapshot level in the
copying. I advocated copying with instructors, updating course titles to
display past year, leaving both visible for a short while then running a
database query to select and make unavailable all instructors from previous
courses (could be done as a one off manual file). Did it as unavailable so
that as/when they came back saying something wasn't in the new course, or
for some valid reason they needed access, they could be made available again
through GUI rather than using the non-GUI-editable disable via snapshot). I
can give you the queries if you want.

Hello
If you look in snapshot.properties there are a few Copy configuration
settings you can play around with.
Thanks

Subject: snapshot question
Hi,
Can anyone help? We are using snapshot for rollover of existing modules
codes to new module codes copying content only, is there any way of blocking
or removing instructors only from the existing module codes so instructors
do not see duplicate courses. I think we can set the existing module codes
to 'unavailable via snapshot so students do not see these (is this correct )
Any feedback gratefully received.
