If you like, I can make the ArtOfIllusion guys more aware of this
project. Someone might write the necessary export methods. It seems to
be accurate down to below 0.02 units for the modelling I've been doing.

No problem - I can crosshatch solids using the right texture on the
boolean plane that is used to produce the "slice". The tricky part would
be the outer wall of the solid; presumably it should have a solid outer
wall or can that be designed separately?
