I still think it's a good idea to create a separate reprap list. Text
chat doesnt work when the interested parties are half a globe away.
Mailing lists are the ideal solution for distributed discussion. The
volume of mailings from this list is only going to go up as work
progresses. We could always cc this list for major things and anyone
would be free to join if they wanted.

on a side note, if you automatically forward your email to a gmail
account, then it will condense these discussions by topic, and its
much easier to handle as multiple emails show up as one line item.
