Dunno, but you'd have to check it was EXACTLY the same thing - there is a
massive difference between the audio quality of normal Bluetooth and the
xCommunicator Bluetooth... That's why it wont work with a normal Bluetooth
dongle. Apparently (no actual experience fiddling with one!).

Hi Matthew
Thanks for the info. That headset actually costs half the price on the high
street! I'm curious to know what Voice Power did to it to make it work with
Dragon NS and then charge twice the price?
Regards,
Aejaz

Subject: Blue tooth Headsets for Dragon Naturally Speaking
A couple of months ago I emailed concerning a suitable bluetooth headset for
use with Dragon naturally Speaking.
The Xcommunicator 3 Bluetooth Headset was recommended.
From VoicePower

I assessed this device and found that it worked well [I had been
unsuccessful with a Plantronics M3000 headset]. It is also successfully
being used by a client who is wheelchair bound and has a deteriorating
voice quality. Sometimes is difficult to understand. He has reported that it
works well and that he is able to speak softly [getting tired was preciously
and issue] and it has given him the freedom of movement and reduces the
need to drive up close to computer workstation.
SO it looks as though the XCommunicator 3 Bluetooth Headset will meet the
voice quality requirements for successful Voice recognition.
If any one else has had success with this device or any other I would be
interested to hear from them.
regards,
Matthew Pepper
