ALM London is holding a brainstorm event for the 2005/6 Archives Awareness
Campaign on 13 May.
Please come along to help shape the plans of what will happen this autumn
and next spring.
OUTLINE
The event will be an opportunity for archives to start thinking about how
they can join in the campaign in London.
Short talks will provide an overview of this year’s campaign, and help
stimulate ideas about new types of activities. There will also be a chance
to hear about the grants, PR training and support that ALM London will
provide. This year, to support the AAC short story competition, we will be
offering grants for archives to participate in the Young Cultural Creators
education programme. The YCC programme brings together school groups,
children's authors and archives to inspire children's creativity and
enables archives to develop curriculumm linked educational activities and
materials.
The morning will conclude with a short brainstorming session, where
participants will be facilitated to generate ideas about how they can
participate, and how ALM London can help them.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The event is aimed at all those responsible for archive and paper-based
collections within London who are interested in participating in the
Archives Awareness Campaign.
