The Secondary Uses Service (SUS) is a public health service provided through
the NPfIT NHS Care Records Service. The service will protect the
confidentiality of patients and will provide timely, pseudoymised
patient-based data and information for purposes other than direct clinical
care, including planning, commissioning, public health, clinical audiT,
