Hi Allstat list,
I am teaching a graduate statistics seminar for natural resources
students this semester, and I am going to be giving a couple of lectures
on goodness-of-fit testing. Not only do I need to brush up on my GOF
methods, but I am hoping to find a few papers or book chapters that I
can assign as reading. I am looking for some general references that
emphasize: 1) the practical application of statistical GOF tests for
linear models (particularly regression, ANOVA, ANCOVA, and logistic
regression), 2) Situations where statistical tests do not work well, and
where simulation is advised, 3) Methods for implementing a simulation
GOF approach, or 4) situations where simulations are too difficult, and
there is no good method of evaluating model fit.
Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated, and digital
copies of references would also be welcomed!
Thanks,
Brian
