Dear Satoshi
Automatic door openers everywhere would be great but not very likely I
guess. Also raises issues about sliding versus swing door issues.
Point well made about the wind slamming factor and would need to be taken
into account. I would hope that some tests would be undertaken as to the
effect of increased surface area of a taller/larger door. This fact did not
prevent doors becoming wider thank goodness, so I would suggest it is not an
insurmountable problem.

Marcus

Dear marcus and pamela:
From practical point of view, increasing the size of door can cause
serious problems, due to wind force in particular.
Under strong wind, in order not the door to slam shut, you have to adopt a
door closing mechanism, but the force you have to cope with will be greater
for a larger door. Or are you willing to ask automatic system for all doors?
