Although I have not yet seen my response to Alison, apparently it did
go through, & Mark sent me his original essay b/c. I read it with great
interest, & replied to him thus:

reading this was a thoughtful pleasure. & I find that, reading it all,
I tend to agree with you down the line. I did not know about the
environmental damage you point to here, but then I've only 'read' about
the Christos when something like this has made the news. And I have
many other art works I would look to buy before one of his drawings
etchings, etc. Still, i guess there are collectors, well of course, we
met one on the CBC program, & so they can 'get by'...
But i do share your sense of concern, a troubled acceptance, & thank
you for this....
