Come and see what's on offer at the CILIP Showcase on Members' Day

For the third year, CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals will be showcasing its services as part of the Institute's annual Members' Day. Open all morning, to CILIP members and all others with an interest in CILIP who care to drop by, this is your opportunity to meet the people behind the services, discuss your own requirements and find out what CILIP can offer you.

Staged in the Ewart Room at CILIP's London offices, from 9:30 to 14:00, the Showcased services will include...

INFOmatch: Whether you're job hunting, looking to recruit temporary or permanent staff, or simply need advice on your next career move, you can meet the staff of CILIP's own recruitment agency - in confidence if you wish.

Training & Development: CILIP's 2006 Training Directory will be launched at Members' Day, so you can beat the rush and be the first to book on one of the brand new 2006 workshops by attending this event.

Qualifications & Professional Development: Find out what the Framework of Qualifications could mean for you or colleagues, and check out the personal development benefits of revalidation.

The Advice Team: Talk to CILIP's advisers and find out how they can help you with professional practice issues.

And - the CILIP Showcase offers a late opportunity to make a donation to CILIP's Tsunami Fund, which closes early next year. You'll find a Gift Aid form in your Showcase pack, so you can make your donation direct to a member of CILIP staff, or donate by post.

"Members' Day has a unique atmosphere and reminds us all that, although our jobs and responsibilities may differ, we all share the core values and concerns of a thoroughly dynamic profession," says CILIP's President Debby Shorley.

Besides the CILIP Showcase, there are also free practical workshops in the morning (pre-booking required). The Presidential address, awards ceremonies and Annual General Meeting follow in the afternoon. The evening rounds off with the Members' Day Lecture, supported by CILIP in London and Swets UK, and given by the Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, Director of the Clore Leadership Programme and former Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.

"Members' Day is a great opportunity for us all to meet colleagues and talk to the staff and officers of CILIP about all manner of important concerns," concludes Debby Shorley. "I look forward to meeting you there."
