Thank you for sharing your email and consideration. We had heard of Steve
Pollitt's sad news earlier this year, in the spring, and were able to give
remember him, his work and role in the progress of information retrieval
at our AGM (when I reported as Chair). Andy MacFarlane (BCS IRSG
secretary) should be able to point to further details on this. Perhaps a
piece in the Informer, to commemorate is highly appropriate to follow up.
Tony Rose is the Informer Editor -- he should be getting this email as
part of the distribution list. We should consider the involvement of those
who worked closely with him for their contribution too.
