Subject: SPA small grants scheme
Dear Small Grants Officer,
I'm writing to you at the suggestion of a member of the Social Policy
Association, to ask whether the Association would consider a request for
a small grant from a non-member. I am organising a conference on the
history of violence for July 2005 (all details are online at
http://ah.brookes.ac.uk/conferences/assaultingpast/index.html ) and
although I believe the conference content (41 papers, half by UK
speakers, covering the history of crime and violence, with some
criminological content, in the post-medieval period) would be of
interest and relevance to SPA members, I am not myself a member of the
Association. Could you tell me whether I might proceed with an
application, or not? Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
Katherine Watson
