could be based either in Yorkshire or Oxford and may particularly suit a
PhD student in their writing up year, a part-time Masters student or a

Following a recent award from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation,we wish to
appoint two sociologists, health services researchers or persons in allied
disciplines to undertake a qualitative interviewing study of drug users’
involvement in treatment decisions in selected agencies in Scotland (RA2
post) and South Yorkshire (Researcher A/B). Applicants for both posts
should have an understanding of qualitative research methods, and for the
RA2 post you should also have appropriate research experience and
demonstrable analysis and writing skills. Applications may be made to
undertake the work on a secondment and/or job share basis.
