Well I am so glad my little missive encouraged so much debate because of
my sloppy use of terminology. As it happens I completely agree that
archaeology is the activity and not the 'product'. Yes I should have
said archaeological remains, mea culpa (probably got this wrong as I
failed latin CSE). Point is though I was trying to send a helpful
response to a researcher and I think she and I understood each other. I
would not have been so unforgivably imprecise in an article or
publication but in a chatty email you were lucky I did not use text
speak. Lol Richard.
