Dear all,
Second and last message for today. At the AGM of WGSG way back in
August the idea was floated of having a one-day (or possibly 2 day)
conference (probably/possibly in London) in April or May of 2005 on the
theme of teaching feminist geography. It would aim to be a forum in
which people could give examples of good practice, report on research on
this topic, and workshop and discuss on ideas for possible developments.
We would also make sure to include postgraduates in this and there was
also at the AGM a suggestion of including undergraduates (though the
focus would not be a repeat of the day we ran a few years ago which
aimed to introduce undergrads to feminist geography). It would be great
too if we could make this an international exchange and involve people
teaching feminist geography in places other than the UK as well.
If anyone has interest in being involved in such an event, wants to
offer a session/ paper/ help with organisation, please get in touch with
me ([log in to unmask]) in the next few weeks and we will start to
gauge support for the idea.
All the best
Fiona
