Syracuse University Center for European Studies is seeking a Postdoctoral
Fellow for 2005-06 whose research fits with the subject of this year's
Moynihan Seminar in European Studies on "The Postcommunist State and
Society." In addition to conducting his or her own research, the
Postdoctoral Fellow would teach one course per semester and assist with
the organization of this seminar, whose purpose is to develop graduate
student and faculty research at a consortium of upstate New York
universities, including Syracuse and Cornell. Recent PhDs with degree in
hand by August 2005 and more senior visiting scholars are encouraged to
apply. Salary (with PhD) is $25,000 plus standard fringe benefits.
Syracuse University Center for European Studies is part of the
newly-endowed Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs at the Maxwell School
of Syracuse University, named in honor of the late Senator from New York
whose work touched on many aspects of global affairs.
