Subject: Call for Participants: DisabilityStudies/Theory and the APA
Apologies for cross-postings
Philosophers concerned with issues surrounding disability/anti-disability are forming a new group that aims to initiate a new Diversity Collective within the American Philosophical Association. The new Diversity Collective would organize sessions on disability theory and policy to be held during the Division Conferences, and would work for political change within the association in particular and professional philosophy in general. An organizational meeting will take place at the 2005 Pacific Division meeting in San Francisco.
If you would like to be involved with the group to form a new Diversity Collective within the APA, please send your contact information to: Shelley Tremain at [log in to unmask] by Thursday, December 3, 2004. You will then be added to an email list for the group, will receive email from others in the group, and can participate in the group's discussions.
Best regards,
Shelley Tremain
