4. In the 3 1/2-hour poster / demo session, talk

authors of 28 short papers, and try out demos offered
by long and short paper presenters.
5. Take part in a panel discussion with four experts on
the question: Why are high-tech home products often so
hard to use - and how can intelligent user interfaces
help? Audience participation guaranteed.
6. During the breaks, social events, and the free evening,
establish and renew contacts with IUI people from
around the world.
Coming to San Diego for IUI 2005 requires some investment;
but you will learn more about intelligent user interfaces
and the people who make them than you could by reading
articles for weeks.
