Sharon:
One of my students, Tony Baldwinson, is doing a research
degree on disability photography with an emphasis on images,
mostly unpublished, that don't fit the charity/freaks/medical
paradigm typically studied. He has some interesting images in his
archive of, for example, blind hunger/civil rights marchers in the
UK from the 1930s. It's mostly stuff taken for internal use by orgs
of (not for) people with disabilities. Don't think he'll have anything
from Hawking's recent protest, but there might very well be
something of historical interest. Sounds like an interesting project!
His email is [log in to unmask]Ê, and I've forwarded your post
to him as well.
