We are currently advertising a RCUK Academic Fellowship for research on
Poverty, Living Standards and Social Security.
The appointment is for five years after which the successful candidate
will be offered a permanent academic position subject to the successful
completion of a probationary period.
You must have completed a PhD (or have equivalent research experience)
in social policy or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate
outstanding research potential. You should also have expertise in
quantitative methods and preferably in secondary analysis of large-scale
datasets. Previous experience of poverty and social security research is
desirable, but the ability and willingness to develop expertise in this
area is essential.
This RCUK Academic Fellowship will be based within the Social Policy
Research Unit in the Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the
University of York.
