Dear Network
Centre for Social Justice Annual Conference - Wednesday 27 April 2005
I am writing to advise you that The Centre for Social Justice, Coventry
University is holding its third annual conference on 27 April 2005 at the
TechnoCentre in Coventry.
The theme of the conference is "Building Social Justice". We welcome
papers from activists and academics, researchers and practitioners who
are working for social justice. The purpose of the day is to explore
key questions which are the building blocks towards a socially just
society, not only in the abstract but in ordinary people's everyday
lives. These will fall into one of the following series:
· What are the sharpest current examples of social injustice?
· What are the foundations of social justice?
· What forms of practice have potential for building social
justice?
· What are the obstacles to building social justice and how
might they
be overcome?
· What are we aiming for? How is social justice to be defined?
· How can socially just relationships be recognised? What
would a
socially just society look like?
If you are interested in presenting a paper then abstracts of no more
than 150 words should be emailed as a Word attachment, or sent on a disk
