Some of you might be interested in the following workshop "Transformation
in East Asian Social Policy", held in the University of Bath from 13 Jan to
15 Jan 2005. Or could you kindly forward this information to anyone who

** Brief information **
Purpose:
1. To build the research network for East Asian research students (and
academics) in social policy related fields.
2. To enhance our knowledge and understanding of East Asian social policy
and welfare regimes through presentations and intensive discussion.
Expected participants:
This workshop is mainly for research students, but we very much welcome
researchers and teaching staffs who are working on topics related to East
Asian social policy, either case study or comparative study. We are pleased
to have your contribution on this workshop by sharing your work with
others. Particularly, we are expecting the active participation of doctoral
students. Please contact the workshop organiser for the details. We are
expecting 25 to 35 people to join this workshop.
