An opportunity exists for an aspiring entrant to the information profession at the Government Actuary's Department (GAD) - a unique, small government department which acts as an independent actuarial consultancy working within government for government.
You will be assisting the Information Manager to develop, implement and maintain various projects that ensure the right information is delivered to the right people at the right time. Current projects include the purchase and implementation of an electronic records management system, pioneering freedom of information in the UK, managing information hotspots throughout the department, and transferring records of lasting value to the National Archives.
We require someone with a:
· Customer focused, keen work ethic and an aptitude for change.
· High degree of IT literacy
· Willingness to work towards, or in the process of, gaining a qualification in information management.
· Understanding of the information management environment. Practical experience within the profession would be an advantage.
