DATABASE MANAGER / DATA ADMINISTRATOR
Oxford Archaeology wish to appoint a key position to develop and further integrate its data applications and information systems. This area is seen as pivotal in the strategic development of OA's operational processes and business strategy.
OA is committed to an integrated database approach and wishes to invest in continued enhancement of its digital systems. Knowledge of archaeological processes and familiarity with GIS applications will be crucial to any such development.
Suitable applicants will have documented experience of database administration and data analysis. Key tasks will include operational maintenance and support, design and enhancement and setting and maintaining data handling policies.
Key skills will include MS Office, Visual Basic for Applications and Data Access Objects (DAO), SQL Server / MySQL and possibly DELPHI/C#.
The post will also be instrumental in developing web based applications and therefore some knowledge of PHP/ASP and .NET applications would be desirable.
SALARY RANGE: The post is advertised at two levels dependent on qualifications and experience: £16,534 - £20,353 and £20,353 - £26,946.
