Dear Rachel
I believe that they were drawn up by Dr Dave Gordon, from the Townsend
Centre for International Poverty Research at the University of Bristol.
They were published in the BMJ, but I don not have the reference. They
are also included in a table in the article, Are we still dying for a
tan? by Andrew R Ness, Stephen J Frankel, David J Gunnell & George Davey
Smith from the University of Bristol in the Journal of Cosmetic
Dermatology, 1, 43–46, 2002.
It is available online at

Cheers
Di
