Industrial Applications Technical Committee
SMCia/05 will be held at Helsinki University of Technology, Espoo,
Finland from
June 28 to 30, 2005. The workshop will cover a broad range of research
topics
related to Soft Computing or Computational Intelligence. Based on
Evolutionary
Computation, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks and Support Vector Machines,
or their
various combinations to yield synergetic effects, soft computing is
aimed to
realize intelligent systems for different applications. The proceedings
of
SMCia/05 will also be published on the IEEE Xplore.
This workshop is intended for researchers, R&D engineers and managers
working
in the expanding field of soft computing applications. Application
oriented
papers describing new research and development are solicited for
technical
sessions on the following topics:
* Aerospace systems
* Consumer applications
* Energy and power systems
* Industrial electronics
* Manufacturing systems and robotics
* Process industry
* Telecommunications systems
* Transportation systems
Prospective authors are invited to e-mail an extended summary (limited
to 4
pages in PDF format) to Prof. Akimoto Kamiya for review. The first page
of each
summary must contain the following information:
* title of the paper,
* name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s),
* maximum 5 keywords,
* name, postal address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of the
contact author.
