Handbook on Post-Communist European Economics and
Politics

The editors will examine the role that post-communist Europe can play in
global affairs. The following topics will be discussed:
World politics
World diplomacy
International law and international organizations
Europe and Russia
Asia
U.S.
Economics/international trade
Management and information technology
Industrial policies and multinationals
Policy against regional and international terrorism
Extended abstracts should be sent by email to [log in to unmask] &
[log in to unmask] by December 10, 2004, and final chapters by Feb. 1 2005.
Chapters will be 20 pages (double-spaced) including bibliographic reference
and tables. As we primarily intend the book for policy makers and the
public, it will also be used as a textbook and reading material at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels, we kindly ask perspective
contributors to include full explanation of technical terminology. Note that
this book must contribute to our understanding of the ongoing debate
regarding Europe, generate critical analysis and motivate alternative points
of views at both policy and classroom levels. The following writing
guidelines must be used:
- American English Spelling;
- All foreign and Latin words must be italicized;
- Use percent in the text; % in the tables;
- Footnotes must be used very sparingly, ideally not at all;
- Citations in the text should list the author's last name and publication
date, all enclosed by parentheses, for example (Kang, Kara, and Seaton,
1993). If a particular page is cited, please use the following notation
(Smith 1989, p. 168). Note that the reference section must include ONLY AND
ALL citations used in the chapter:
