A study of the long-term impact of the Mainstream Supported Employment
Programme on the employment status of participants: people who experience
significant disability.

Mainstream is a supported employment programme for people who experience
significant physical, intellectual, sensory or learning impairments, as well
as those who experience mental illness. The programme facilitates two year
employment placements within New Zealand State sector.
A key finding of the research is that 69% of programme participants were
still in employment, up to six years after the conclusion of their
Mainstream placements.
