The Council is an independent charity and national membership organisation based in Manchester, serving members and supporting the establishment of new centres throughout the UK. The organisation promotes the cause of Assistive Technology (products and solutions) in the UK to government industry and the public at large. Next year will be a time of growth and change when DLCC undergoes a rebranding and marketing exercise.

This new post requires a proactive dynamic individual who will play a key role in the renewal and expansion of the organisation. The trustees seek someone with a proven track record in leadership and management who can lead and team and who is committed to membership and service user involvement. The Director needs to get the organisational message across at national level and create and deliver business and purchasing strategy.
Communications Officer £17,922 - £19,092 1 year contract Full time
Effective communications with members, partners and the public are critical to the success of the organisation. We need an excellent communicator to be responsible for collecting, managing and disseminating information about the Disabled Living Centre network and related equipment services. This will be done via the DLCC website and other media. You will make an important contribution to marketing and communication strategies and membership drives.
Administrator/Office Manager £17,922 - £18,507 1 yr contract Full time
We require an experienced person with book-keeping skills for this new post. You will have a calm and flexible approach to work with excellent prioritising and problem solving skills, to manage the smooth running of all office activities. You will work closely with all members of the team, particularly with the Director’s PA. Experience of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint) is vital.
