is there any country in the world in which disabled persons are legally
entitled to accessible transportation? It appears from the preliminary
reading that I am doing that most countries have loopholes that somehow
preclude accessible municipal tranist. Here in Canada, the notion of "undue
hardship" to be determined in law on a case by case basis, means that
disabled persons may not be entitled to accessible transit if it will cost
too much money! if you are aware of progressive statutes, could also please
send me a link.
For those interested in teh area of disabled transport more generally, I am
updating my bibliography originally sent to the list last year. If there are
materials that should be included, please let me know. Thanks mucho, Lilith
