Dear Sir/Madam:
We are Urban and Regional Planning laboratory in Kyoto University, Japan. We are sincerely to ask your cooperation of linking our online questionnaire on “Barrier-free” to your website.
First of all, I would like to simply introduce our research and ourselves. Our laboratory is in Department of Urban Management, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, Japan. (http://utel.kuciv.kyoto-u.ac.jp/index_e.htm). Our research focuses on cost-benefit valuation of barrier-free and universal design of public transportation in different countries. As we all know, there are a large numbers of approaches to realize barrier-free, and one of the most important points is to match a barrier-free strategy with a country’s real conditions and the needs of the local citizens, not only for the normal people, but also for the people with disabilities. In our research, we are trying to investigate and compare the living conditions and demands on barrier-free environment in different countries to present proper strategies for the developing countries to promote the barrier-free projects.
The contents of questionnaire include the basic information of the respondents and the benefits they can feel from some barrier-free projects, such as to use an elevator in a train station. It can be found in the following homepage.

We welcome all kinds of people to answer our questionnaire and give us their opinions on barrier-free/universal design. If possible, would you please create a link to the questionnaire? Thank you very much for your consideration.
Best regards
Sincerely Yours,
