Good morning.
Greatfull to find this list, and the fellow midwifes supporting it. I work
with one partner in a caseload practice in denmark, our first! We service
120 women a year, in a district, They birth of their choice in home, clinic
or hospital. We are doing this as a two year project, evaluating june 06 on
mainly three parameters: Workenvironment(could this be a actual jobdesign
for modern midwifes)-User satisfaction( are the families met in their
needs, will they choose this form again) and economy( must be compatibel to
our excisting public model)- My partner and I share call, mostly a week at
a time, we do app. two/three birth a week, which is fine. So far incomming
evaluations on time spend, families satisfaction are excellent. We do hope
that this will be the opening for many more caseload practices in Denmark,
That the women will request this type of care, That our fellow midwifes
will work like this. So far we know four midwifes on the Island of Sealand
is planning on starting by april 05.. I think this is the beginning of the
ripple effect !(Rings in water)
Looking forward to following the list...
