It all depends on what you want to use it for. If it is for clinical
records within your own Trust I strongly advise you to give IT/imaging
the problem and responsibility, as once taken and agreed as adequate by
a clinician it becomes part of the patient record.
For teaching and display I use thumbsplus www.cerious.com.
Best wishes

Subject: archiving software for clinical pictures
dear list
can anyone recommend a software package for indexing and archiving
clinical pictures - I know that Edinburgh Royal infirmary had a good
index for A&E but cannot seem to locate it, would be grateful for
advice. basically we need to store pictures in an index, and then
software to search for Xray - fracture - upper limb - child etc, thanks
Ruth
