Language Trends 2004
Languages Trends 2004, the results of a survey in autumn 2004, reports
on the number of schools in England making languages optional at Key
Stage 4, highlighting a deepening of the crisis identified in Language
Trends 2003. The report was published jointly by the Association for
Language Learning, CILT, the National Centre for Languages and the
Independent Schools Modern Languages Association.
Schools will be polled again in 2005 to track developments.
