I find this comment most surprising - in my experience javadocs are an
extremely convenient way of producing API documentation. I'm not all
that familiar with POD though. Can you explain what makes it so much
better than javadoc?

I presume the VOTable support handles TABLEDATA-encoded tables only.
If not, please tell me so I can modify my claims about STIL being
the only library which does BINARY/FITS. Ta.
