I have problem with NFS which is preventing installation of nodes.
In brief when I try to PXEboot to get a new machine the booting machine
gets to the point where it tries to mount the exported file system.
I then get some nfs server not responding messages,
followed by some task xxxx can't get a request slot ...
then some nfs server not responding, interspersed with NFS OK messages
the installation procedure makes it as far as typing I and then Y at which
point you might expect it to start copying stuff across. Not sure if it
tries to do this, but certainly it is seeing the nfs server so rarely that
after an hour or so no more installation messages have appeared.
The LCFG machine is acting as the dhcp machine as well. Note that
the LCFG machine is dual homed. Installation on the public network for the
CE and SE goes OK, but installation on the second segment seems to be
problematic. It is correctly picking up IP address, boot kernel and IP
name, so it is not just that the network interface is not working.
I've run out of ideas, and attempts to get information from
books or google have stalled because I can't find the appropriate
place to look. Any suggestions gratefully recieved.
Paul
