I try to use GGUS every few weeks. You need to *either* register for a
username/password, or have your LCG certificate loaded in your browser.
If you register a bug with username/password and later go back to the
site with a certificate loaded in your browser, you won't be given the
option to login with username/password and you won't be able to look at
your bug, so be warned. Also, unless the system has changed, you will
be "given" a password: "allthesame".
They are pretty good about contacting whoever needs to be contacted to
answer your problem and will get back to you within a day or two. The
problem is that sometimes you need a solution "now", in which case my
experience is that the best thing to do is "ask your local LCG expert"
(provided they exist), followed by simultaneously posting to TB-SUPPORT
(or [log in to unmask]), and looking in the GOC DB (which you also have
to register to use, but that, I think, takes manual authorisation to be
added) to find out the site contact email address and contacting the
site in question directly. For the moment I think the volume of support
requests is low enough that sites seem to be happy to respond to users
directly since usually something *is* actually wrong at the site in
question.
