In view of the prodigous efforts that the JAC people are clearly
putting in on this it feels rather un-public-spirited to say so,
but I am in sympathy with David here. The last time we had a
command decision on resources available for tidying up stuff to work
with autoconf/CVS it was one week in Glasgow and that's your lot.
We have already overrun that by a long long way.
