3rd STAFFORDSHIRE CONFERENCE ON CLINICAL BIOMECHANICS, Stoke on Trent,

"The Dynamic Foot - Protected, Supported and Enhanced"
Friday and Saturday 29th /30th April, 2005
Building on the success of the previous two years, Staffordshire
University in association with the Podiatric Biomechanics Group is
pleased to announce the 3rd conference on clinical biomechanics at the
University Campus, Stoke on Trent.
This conference will provide a forum for information dissemination on
clinical biomechanics and will facilitate discussion on research and
case studies in this field via the plenary sessions. The conference will
focus on lower limb biomechanics with an emphasis on footwear.
The keynote speakers will highlight the role of current biomechanical
principles in the diagnosis and management of patients. There will be
opportunity for debate and analysis of issues surrounding these topics.
Dr Ned Frederick, President of Exeter Research, Inc., (founder of Nike
Sports Research Laboratory and Former Director of Research and
Development at Nike Inc.,) will be delivering the inaugural keynote
address.
FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
Short abstracts are to be submitted by post or e-mail by 31st January,
2005.
The text should be limited to two pages of A4, with the first page to
include the Title of Presentation, Author(s), Corresponding Author's
Name, Address, Telephone number and e-mail address. Second page should
include a full abstract with introduction, methodology, results and
discussion.
Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding
authors by: 28th February, 2005.
All successful abstracts and selected articles will be published in the
International Journal of Podiatric Biomechanics.
