Frozen Assets
Egg and Sperm donation after the removal of anonymity
A one-day conference organised by Progress Educational Trust
Wednesday 17 November 2004 | 10am - 5.30pm

Speakers will include:
Gillian Lockwood, Midland Fertility Services | Allan Pacey, University of Sheffield | Laura Spoelstra, National Gamete Donation Trust | Lisa Saffron, Pink Parents UK | Kamal Ahuja, Cromwell IVF and Fertility Centre | Marilyn Crawshaw, University of York and others to be confirmed.
Topics include:
Egg donation and payment, a donor's perspective - Psychological impact of payment on children of gamete donors - Ethical implications of payment to gamete donors - Gamete donation and the removal of anonymity - Egg sharing and the removal of anonymity - Sperm Donors: time to review the rules? - Why shouldn't recipients be able to pick their donors?
The conference is timed to coincide with an HFEA review of gamete donation, which will include a public consultation open at the time of this event. Please note that feedback and comments from this event will be written up and submitted as evidence to the consultation.
