In Hampshire we ask parents to sign a form authorising access for children aged 9 to 15 before the child can use the PN. 8s and under are not allowed to use the PCs unsupervised. If the child is a library member then their details are added to the Pharos SignUp database which allows them to log on to the PCs using their borrower number. If the child is not a member of the library they are given an Internet Card, which they have to show to staff every time they want to be logged on to the PCs.
