Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in diabetes and health economics
The Diabetes Translational Research Group wishes to appoint a researcher in
health economics to work as part of a multidisciplinary research team
developing new approaches for the control of the diabetes epidemic. The
Group works closely with local health services, with major access to service
related information, providing unique opportunities for translating
developments into health care delivery. The position is based within the
research group and can link into the health economics team in the School of
Population Health, University of Auckland.
The post holder will be expected to:
-provide expertise in health economics within the group
-share responsibility for health economic aspects of the existing research
programme;
-develop in the medium-term additional externally-funded research programmes
in diabetes related areas
-supervise postgraduate students, particularly PhDs
-produce high quality independent original research and publications.
The individual should have a PhD. The position is for 3 years in the first
instance.
