Can any colleagues point to any examples of local public health priorities
having been influenced by the action of local patients or community groups?
Although public health specialists often claim that their priorities are
determined by a combination of national priorities and local indicators of
morbidity and mortality together with expressed local preferences, i am finding it
hard to find cases where priorities have been significantly varied by community
action. Any examples would be very welcome.
All the best Malcolm Alexander
