The Research Centre for the Holocaust and Twentieth
Century History at Royal Holloway, University of London, The University of
Manchester and the Wiener Library have received funding from the AHRB to run
a one-week interdisciplinary, residential training course in Holocaust
studies in London in April 2005, open to doctoral students.
The week will involve seminars with internationally
and nationally-recognised experts in aspects of Holocaust history,
historiography, literature, Jewish studies, philosophy, theology and film, a
session with the screenwriter of a US Holocaust film currently in
post-production as well as a small archive project and some internet
training.
For UK PhD students, all expenses, including
accommodation, food and travel will be paid.
In order to plan for these seminars, it would be
useful to have some information about the size of the potential market. If
you are a PhD student and would be interested in attending, or if you have
PhD students (preferably in their first year) who would be interested in
